9% corporate tax
The lowest corporate tax in the EU. A real advantage for profitable, EU-facing businesses.
Full EU access
An EU/EEA company with an EU VAT number and access to the single market — but note Hungary uses the forint (HUF), not the euro.
Remote setup
Sign by power of attorney. We coordinate the mandatory lawyer and file with the company court — you don't set foot in Hungary.

Frequently asked questions
Can a non-resident open a company in Hungary?
Yes. Foreign founders (EU and non-EU, individuals or companies) can fully own a Hungarian Kft. The process is handled remotely — you appoint us and the lawyer by power of attorney (PoA), so you don't have to travel to Hungary.
How much does it cost and how long does it take?
Forming a Kft requires a lawyer's (ügyvéd) countersignature and electronic filing to the company court — there is no DIY route. Registration typically takes 1–5 business days. The minimum share capital is 3 000 000 Ft (approx. €7,595), payable over time or in kind. We send an exact quote the same business day.
What taxes will my Hungarian company pay?
Corporate tax (TAO) is a flat 9% — the lowest in the EU. Be aware that VAT (ÁFA) is 27% (the EU's highest), with reduced 18% and 5% rates, plus local business tax (HIPA) up to 2%. See our 9% corporate tax guide.
Do I need to be in Hungary, and is the lawyer really mandatory?
You do not need to be in Hungary — we set everything up remotely. Hungarian law requires a lawyer to countersign the incorporation documents and file them electronically with the company court; we coordinate that lawyer for you as part of the service.
